Brinley in rollers!

Remember these big pink sponge rollers??? Well, I decided to put them in Brinley's hair Sat. night for church while she was watching the Hannah Montanna- Best of Both Worlds concert on the Disney Channel! She thought it was the greatest! I had her sleep in them and her hair was a little too curly the next morning! I had to keep pulling on her curls to relax them, but it turned out really cute! I didn't even get an "after" picture, can you believe it?

Sommer's Birthday- July 24th!

So, for my birthday we were going to go to the Days of 47 Parade but decided to sleep in instead! Morgan thought it would be a lot nicer to watch in our air conditioned home on our big screen T.V.! Now c'mon, how can you argue with that?
We decided to take the kids to Liberty Land here in Lehi. It just opened this summer, and the kids have been dying to go check it out! Well, let's just say we had to spend all day there to get our money's worth! So, we did! We left and went to Chili's for dinner and came back until it closed. The kids thought it was great, there was hardly anyone there, so they didn't have to wait in line for anything, they could just go hop on whenever they wanted! It basically was your Kiddie land at Lagoon-Morgan and I had a hard time fitting our fat butts in some of the seats! Ha ha!
Afterwards we went and got Icee's and went back to the house and did fireworks! It was a fun day, and I was so happy to spend it with the people I love the most- My family!

Birthday Surprise!

The day before my birthday I was able to get together with two of my dearest friends from Phoenix Christy, and Joni! We met each other when we first moved to Phoenix and were living in our apartments. We lived there for less than a year while our house was being built, so It's kinda crazy that we still keep in touch! They have both since moved to Texas and St. George, so I feel so lucky that they both were in S.L.C at the same time! We just got together at my house, and let the kids play. I made a yummy salad and we just spent the evening chatting! SO FUN! When Morgan and Zach got home from football practice Morgan sent us out the door and told us to go do something... and he would watch all the kids! What a man!
So, we decided to go see the movie Mama Mia! It was really cute, totally a chic flick! We went to the late show and didn't get back until almost midnight, and we were sure that the kids were in bed when we walked in the house and it was all quiet and dark! My kitchen was even cleaned up and you could hear the dishwasher running! Just as I went to turn around to Christy and Joni and say "Can you believe it"? The lights flipped on and all the kids jumped out from behind the couch and yelled SURPRISE! Morgan had decided to throw me and "early" birthday surprise! While we were gone, they had wrapped my presents, made me a birthday cake, and each person had made me a homemade birthday card with cute little pictures! It was the cutest thing ever! The kids thought it was the greatest thing! And I have to say I was pretty surprised myself! So we lit the candles and they sang Happy Birthday to me and we ate cake at midnight! It was so much fun! Thanks honey for making my birthday so special!
Thanks Joni and Christy for hangin out with me, I couldn't have asked for a better day!

Fun Weekend Getaway!

Sorry to overload you with all the slideshows of pictures!!! But when you have over 500 pictures to choose from it is kinda hard to only choose a few! :) This was the last day of our adventures, we went to Lava Hot Springs somewhere in Idaho... I'm not sure exactly where it is. But it is alot of fun! They have a 33 foot high diving platform that Zach and Morgan couldn't wait to jump off! Zach even counted and went 8 times by the end of the day! The kids had fun swimming, going down the waterslides, and jumping off the diving boards! It was actually raining that day and was pretty cold when you were out of the water, so we went over to the Hot pools, and man they were HOT! It was pretty amazing there, it is so beautiful! The kids didn't last long, so we went back over to the swimming pool. There is so much to do there, we want to go back next year and stay over night and go down the river with tubes, it looked like a lot of fun!
My little Boston had no fear! He has always gone swimming with water wings, but for some reason he thought he didn't need them and thought he could jump off the diving board like all the other kids! So, Morgan let him go, and he LOVED it! He even went off the high dive, and didn't even hesitate, he walked right over there, and climbed up those stairs and walked to the edge and jumped right off! I was nervous after that, we had to watch him like a hawk!
My mom, and my brother Rhett and his family, and my nephew Taegen were able to come with us, we had a lot of fun and are so glad they were able to come spend the day with us! Thanks guys! We will never forget eating at the Chuckwagon Cafe afterwards! :)

Backyard Baseball!

Sunday afternoon we spent the day at my parents which usually results in the kids playing baseball in the backyard! They use all Grandpa's baseball gear from the shed, and have a ball! It's so fun when the little ones join in! We all sat around and watched, laughed, cheered, and of course took pictures!

Day at the Farm

On Sat. after the Bingham Reunion we headed over to Preston Idaho to visit Morgan's grandparents that live on a farm there. The kids always have so much fun there running around and riding on the 4 wheeler! We even got to pick fresh peas from the garden and fresh raspberries, something my kids don't get to do at home since neither Morgan or I don't know how to garden! There are usually baby kittens running around that the kids love to play with, but they couldn't catch one all day long. Morgan's grandma loves to feed anyone and everyone that visits them at their house, so Morgan is always happy to get some grandma lovin cookin when we go there. Which usually means a big fat steak to eat! The kids had alot of fun, and Morgan always loves going back to the farm! When he was younger he spent almost every summer there hauling hay and pipe, and whatever else they could get him to do! Summertime memories!

Bear Lake Trip!

The weekend before the 24th we headed up to Logan to stay at my parents house. We thought it would be fun to go do some different things up there since we were going to be there for the Bingham family reunion on Sat. anyways. (Don't we love those reunions!) But we didn't get off to a very good start... Thursday morning the day we were leaving I came down with the stomach flu! I was literally laying in my bed running a fever and thinking what in the world am I doing here? It takes a lot to get me to slow down! I decided I would try to sleep and see how I felt, well when I woke up I still felt like crap but wanted to go anyway, so I threw some things together in a bag. (Luckily I had packed for the kids the night before) Morgan came home and we got things together and were on the road by 3:00. I felt like I was going to puke the whole drive, but never did. We were in Morgan's truck cuz we needed something to pull the boat with when we got up there. My brother Rhett was playing in an Alumni game for the Providence Wolverines team that night, so we went to that. That was a lot of fun to see him play, it had been awhile, and bro. you still look hot in those baseball pants! The next day we had rented a boat at Bear Lake, I still wasn't feeling the greatest but we had reservations and had to go anyway. The kids were really excited! It is so beautiful there, and the water is SO blue! We had a fun day on the lake, but towards the afternoon Brinley and Boston started not feeling good either. So, we headed to the dock and loaded the boat. We aren't very experienced at this not having a boat of our own... but after Morgan loaded the boat onto the trailer he forgot the turn the boat off, so when we got out afterwards the boat was still running! It was pretty loud, and I'm sure we had a million people staring/yelling at us! :) After we got everything settled we headed to LaBeau's for a Famous Raspberry shake! Now, anyone who has had one of these will admit they are the best Raspberry shake on the earth! We ate them with our meal, and Morgan decided he needed another one for the drive home! Needless to say the kids weren't feeling that great, and were pooped! So we went back to Grandma's and took baths and hung out for the night! We had to rest up for our next days adventure!

Bear Lake Trip!

Brinley planting flowers with her Daddy!

Morgan took the kids to Lowe's with him to go buy some bushes to finally plant in our yard. And Brinley found these flowers that she wanted to plant with them, she thought they would be so pretty! Morgan is such a good dad, after work one night even though he wasn't feeling good, he went out there with her and they planted them together. Brinley thought it was so neat! I have no idea what kind they planted, but I guess we will see when they come up (if they do!)

Swimming with Friends

Our friends The Eastmans who we lived by in Phoenix are here visiting in Utah for awhile, we got together and went swimming in Orem. The kids had a lot of fun together. I just love Stephanie, she is a wonderful friend, and has so many talents! She is one of those kind of people that makes you feel good just by being with her! Not to mention she makes the BEST chocolate chip cookies ever! It is so fun to see you when you come to Utah! Love ya Steph!

SUMMER DWINDLING???

K- does anyone else feel like the summer is just dwindling??? I can't believe we only have just a little over a month until school starts again! AHHHHHHH! I am not ready! I just wish we could play every day! (okay I sound like a kid) I have just had so much fun with my kids this summer! It has been so fun to have Zach around. He was doing camps the whole month of June, and loved every minute of it, it kept him busy and that is what he needs! He is kind of in between baseball and starting up tackle football right now, so he thinks he is bored, but I LOVE having him around! He is starting tackle football this year, and is so excited! He has been waiting for a long time for this. Morgan is going to be able to help coach him, so I don't know who is more excited, him or Zach! I am just laughing cuz today Zach went with his friend Bowen to the State Tournament in Payson for City Leauge Baeball. A bunch of his friends play on the team, so he was going to support them. He just can't get enough... if he's not playing himself he enjoys watching his friends play! I think it is so cute! Johnny even had a jersey and hat for him this morning when they picked him up! Zach has really made some good friends playing sports here, and the thing is, they are all GOOD kids! I just love seeing them having a good time together. I just love seeing my kids happy, that's all!

Brinley's first day of dance!

Brinley finally started dance again! She went last friday and could hardly wait! We went and bought her new tap and ballet shoes a couple of weeks ago, and every day after that she would ask how many more days until dance! Her teacher said she did an awesome job! She is so excited to be dancing again! I love it!

Slip N Slide at the Park

Last week we had some friends invite us to go to this park in American Fork and go down this huge slip n slide! We didn't really know what it was going to be like, but when we pulled up and my kids saw the huge tarps laid out on the grass down the big hill they couldn't contain themselves! They were so excited! We were there for 3 hours and they still didn't want to stop! Even us moms were doing it, it was so much fun! Other than the fact that you had a total wedgie when you got to the bottom! :)

Happy late 4th of July!

We went to Park City for the Firecracker Tournament with Zach's baseball team! This was our first tourney there, and it was so much fun! Some of my family was there, and my dad got us all a condo that we stayed in together. Zach played a total of 7 games in 3 days and they made it to the championship but lost their first game! We were so excited for the team, they did so good, and Zach had a blast and loved every minute of it! Even when he would wake up with sore muscles! We did all of the festivities in Park City while we were there, and found out that the town closes at 10:00. You can't find a place to eat after that... we learned from the first night that his games ended late, and we ended up at Wendy's for dinner at 11:00! In between baseball games we went swimming, went to the parade, fireworks, and the Alpine Slide! We even stayed an extra day and just hung out cuz we were going, going, going the whole time! We also found out that they don't have AC there, and after sleeping in a twin bed with Boston the whole time, I was ready to come home to my nice big king bed with air conditioning in my house! That is always the best part of a vacation is coming home to your own bed!
Well, it was driving me crazy that I hadn't posted about the 4th yet... this catch'in up stuff is hard! I don't think I'll do this again!

Watching the Fireworks!

After watching Zach's game we headed up to the fireworks, there was no parking anywhere, and we had to hunt for a good spot where we could see. We didn't know exactly where they were going to go off, but we ended up going right on the golf course and had PERFECT seats! Everyone was tired and hungry, and the fireworks lasted forever! They were really good though! It was a perfect night! We ordered pizza for everyone and went back to the condo to eat... my poor kids fell asleep on the way back, and went to bed without any dinner! They were exhausted!

Sleep Deprived!!!

K- so it wasn't the smartest thing to stay up until 3:30 lastnight trying to "catch up" on life... especially when I had to be to an 8:00 dentist appt. this morning!  So, as I'm driving to the dentist this morning and could barley keep my eyes open long enough to see the road in front of me.  I get there and everything goes fine with my appt. and as the lady at the front desk, should we call her the receptionist?  Is filling out my card she asks me, "So, when is it that your expecting?"  I think she could tell after taking one look at my face that I was expecting anything but that! I really was too tired to care... She apologized, and felt so bad! The funny thing is, she said that is the second time she has done that to someone this week! Wouldn't you learn to keep your mouth shut?  So, yeah that was really good for the self esteem! I told her I was on my way to go buy some diet pills! Thanks!

Lehi Round Up Celebration... June 21-28

So, a couple of weeks ago we celebrated with the whole city of Lehi for a week long celebration!!! There were so many fun things to do, and the kids had so much fun! I was pooped by the end of the week and we actually all opted not to go to the parade Friday night cuz we were so tired!  It all started Sunday night with the Arts in the Park where they had a band playing (who is actually our neighbor) and everyone just brings their lawn chairs and hang out and listen to music.  The kids had a great time dancing too! The next night they had a Family Picnic in the Park with entertainment.  Tuesday night they played the movie Alvin and the Chipmunks at Vets Park on a HUGE screen that was awesome!  Morgan actually went over early and put our blankets down to save us seats, and we got front row.  We took lots of treats, and blankets and all managed to stay awake the whole time!  Thursday we went to the Rodeo with our friends the Revills and enjoyed our rodeo burgers! They seriously are the best burgers, but maybe only when you're at the rodeo! The kids kept asking when half time was... you can tell they have been to one too many ballgames! On Saturday my sister Sonnet, Zach, and I all ran the 5K together...well at least we started out together! :) We all came in at different times, and let's just say Zach kicked my butt! I was so proud of him, he was a trooper!  He came in at 29. 26 mins with no complaints other than being really thirsty!  For never running more than a mile at a time before, I thought he did so good!  I met my friend Ceri there, who talked me into doing the race in the first place. And it was fun to see different people that I knew there.  The Grand Parade was that morning and they had a Family Fun Day at the Park.  It was a great way to end the week of festivities! The kids all had a great time! I hurt my ankle somehow while I was running, so by Sunday my foot was all swollen, and it really hurt to walk on it.  Morgan told me I should probably stay off of it until it felt better, and I didn't argue with that!  Well, just a little update on our week, I will catch up with the rest later!
